Not long after INVISION opened its Waterloo office in 1945, the firm began to make a big impact on the growing Waterloo and Cedar Falls communities. The landscape is now scattered with the work of INVISION, standing tall and proud not only in structure, but also in significance to the community. Many INVISION buildings became landmarks of the area—Allen Hospital (now UnityPoint Health), Grout Museum, Schoitz Memorial (now Covenant Medical Center), Conway Civic Center (Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center) and the UNI Dome, to name a few. While some buildings have been torn down or built around, there are many that have shaped our community. The firm’s impact on the Cedar Valley landscape continues through designs of today and relationships that will define our future.
