Macgregor Associates Architects (MAA), an INVISION Studio, in preparing the next generation of leaders at the firm, has promoted long-time employees Tyler Atkins, Thomas Hollands, Kylie Novich, Molly Russo, and Blake Simmons, to principals of the firm.
These promotions follow the recent retirement of MAA President Federico Chiappina, who stepped down at the end of December 2025 after 29 years with MAA. Long-time MAA Partner Andrew Dell and Eric Ritland, who joined MAA earlier this fall as managing partner, succeeded him as the firm’s top leaders before elevating the five next-generation leaders to provide additional leadership support.
“This is an exciting time for the future of Macgregor Associates Architects,” said Ritland, who has been working closely with Dell since last summer to identify, train, and prepare up-and-coming leaders for the firm’s January transition while also shoring up the firm’s loyal, long-term client base. “These promotions are well-deserved, in recognition of the team’s individual contributions to MAA over the years and their dedication to supporting MAA’s future growth and continued success.”
The five new principals, Ritland said, have taken on leadership roles that now include the following: industrial market leadership; the firm’s mission-critical data center development program; client accounts; template/programming leadership; and a manager of projects who serves as a liaison between MAA and the architecture firm’s parent company, INVISION, a 114-year-old Iowa-based architectural firm that launched a national expansion effort last year beginning with a Jacksonville, Fla.-based merger. MAA also has an office in Dallas, Texas. MAA and INVISION, meanwhile, are part of The HFW Companies’ national HFW Partner Network.
