I love that design works on micro and macro levels, and of course everything in between. The challenge of thinking about the effect of a building on its neighborhood, the ways that people will use the building, all the way through to the type of screw heads that keeps a wall panel in place feeds the never-ending power of design. I look for art in the planning, art in the composition of parts, and art in hearing and implementing the needs of the people that will spend their days working, playing, learning, and living in the buildings we design with them.
