Gem Products, a global leader in stainless-steel marine and boat hardware, sought to create a facility that reflected their precision-driven brand and commitment to innovation. The new 72,600 SF (Phases 1 & 2) headquarters and distribution center unites their corporate offices, R&D engineering labs, retail showroom, and warehouse operations under one roof, fostering seamless collaboration and efficiency.
The design emphasizes connectivity between departments. The engineering and R&D labs are positioned adjacent to both the warehouse and corporate offices, promoting hands-on problem-solving and streamlined product development. The warehouse — fully air-conditioned for product integrity — utilizes an advanced automated vertical lift storage and retrieval system, enabling quick, precise fulfillment of customer orders.
Architecturally, the facility is constructed with load-bearing tilt-up concrete panels and an interior steel frame, creating a durable, cost-effective structure that allowed for future expansion to 70,600 SF. Natural light, open work zones, and a clean, functional material palette support an environment of innovation and efficiency. Supported by a full emergency power system, the new headquarters embodies Gem Products’ forward-looking approach to design, engineering, and operations excellence.
