Located on the outskirts of Zanesville, Ohio, Northpointe Surgical Suites is a ground-up ambulatory surgery center that draws from the barns and farmhouses of the surrounding rural landscape to establish an architectural identity specific to its setting. The facility includes two operating rooms, one procedure room, and nine recovery beds.
The design translates familiar elements of local agricultural architecture into a contemporary healthcare facility. A prominent gabled roof establishes the primary building form, while a cantilevered metal entrance canopy, full-height glass, and locally sourced masonry introduce a modern material expression. Together, these elements connect the surgery center to its regional context while supporting the functional and technical requirements of an outpatient surgical facility.
