University of Florida East Campus Office Building

Gainesville, FL

The East Campus Office Building marks a defining move toward a more connected and sustainable future for the University of Florida. Designed as a three-story office and training facility, the project serves as the cornerstone of the University’s East Campus redevelopment — transforming underutilized land into a cohesive, forward-looking district.

Purpose-built to consolidate several non-academic programs previously scattered across leased spaces, the building provides a cost-effective and collaborative workplace tailored to the University’s operational needs. Clean lines, flexible layouts, and naturally lit interiors support productivity and comfort, while the surrounding site design lays the groundwork for future academic and administrative growth.

Sustainability guided every design decision. The building achieved LEED Gold certification and incorporates a 200 kW rooftop photovoltaic solar array that supplies on-site renewable energy. Together, these features reflect the University’s long-term commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation — positioning the East Campus as both a model of efficiency and a catalyst for the campus’s continued evolution.
