Cottey College Fine Arts Building

Nevada, MO

The Cottey College Fine Arts Building expands space for the dance, music, and art departments while supporting the women’s college in its transition from a two-year to a four-year institution. The three-story addition connects to the existing Neale Hall and responds to the traditional campus framework while establishing a new home for the arts.

An open courtyard incorporates a recognition plaza for donors, while a large central atrium brings daylight into the building and connects activity across multiple levels. Solar power generation and energy-efficient building systems reduce energy demands and support the college’s long-term operational goals.

An enclosed bridge connects the Fine Arts Building to the administration building, providing an interior connection between the two facilities and integrating the new addition into the larger campus.
