Designed to bring high-quality outpatient care to the community, this new ambulatory surgery center establishes a welcoming presence in Martin County, Florida. The project responds to site considerations including vehicular access, local architectural and planning requirements, and budget constraints.
The contemporary building uses structural concrete block with applied stucco, limestone veneer, and expanses of glass that bring natural light into the interior and provide views to the exterior. The site plan, building form, and material palette work together to address the specific conditions of the site while creating a comfortable environment for patients and staff.
