CommunityAmerica’s South Plaza branch brings together two existing brick buildings to create a single financial facility within the established neighborhood. The rehabilitation and adaptive reuse project opened the wall between the buildings and introduced new circulation to connect differing floor levels and previously separate spaces.
New stairs, an accessible ramp, and an elevator provide connections throughout the combined building while improving accessibility. The design retains the character of the existing brick structures while introducing a new CommunityAmerica entry tower, additional windows, and a rooftop deck that support the building’s new use.
